We start with the device, not a generic catalog claim. Mechanical space, electrical tasks, user action, environment, expected life and production scale are reviewed before a solution is confirmed.
The objective is to turn a connection requirement into an assembly that can be sampled, tested and manufactured against controlled drawings and specifications. Existing products are useful references, but they do not replace an engineering review for the new device.

Define the interface
