Service life is evaluated by mating cycles and contact resistance change. Under rated current and stroke the connector is cycled to the target count (commonly 10,000 to 100,000 cycles depending on class) while contact resistance and temperature rise are monitored; end of life is usually defined as resistance exceeding the initial value by a set ratio or plating worn through.
Actual life also depends on environment: dust, sweat, salt spray and insertion angle all shorten it. We can run mating life, salt spray and temperature/humidity tests to your target and provide the reports.
