A Pogo Pin is a precision spring-loaded contact made of a plunger, a barrel, a spring and a retaining structure. The plunger travels under spring force, so the contact compensates for tolerance and angle instead of relying on exact alignment.
Common types include SMT and DIP mounted pins, right-angle pins, high-current pins, antenna and signal probes, and special shapes built to drawing. Key parameters are diameter, total stroke, working compression, spring force, plating and rated current.
The factory advantage lies in integration: turning, plating, molding, magnet and cable assembly in one plant, with measurement equipment for contact resistance, plating thickness, salt spray and mating life.
